Samsung Galaxy Alpha is a little bit better than Galaxy A5 (2017), getting a 76.3 score against 75.8. Samsung Galaxy Alpha's design is way lighter and somewhat thinner than the Galaxy A5 (2017). The Samsung Galaxy Alpha counts with a bit more vivid screen than Galaxy A5 (2017), although it has a little bit smaller display, a way worse screen density and a much lower resolution of 1280 x 720px.
Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) counts with a much greater storage to store more apps and games than Galaxy Alpha, and although they both have the same 32 GB internal memory, the Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) also has a SD extension slot that admits a maximum of 256 GB. The Galaxy Alpha counts with a bit more powerful processing unit than Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017), because although it has less cores and a lower amount of RAM memory, it also counts with an additional graphics co-processor.
The Samsung Galaxy Alpha captures clearer pictures and videos than Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017), because although it has a smaller diafragm aperture which is worse for low-light images and video and a back camera with lot less mega pixels resolution, it also counts with a lot better 3840x2160 (4K) video definition.
