Comparison review

Sony Xperia 1 has a score of 82.6, which is a bit better than the Galaxy Alpha's 76.3 score. Even being the best we compare here, Sony Xperia 1's body is thicker and incredibly heavier than the Galaxy Alpha. The Xperia 1 counts with a better looking screen than Samsung Galaxy Alpha, because it has a lot greater screen density, a way larger screen and a lot higher 1644 x 3840 pixels resolution.

The Xperia 1 has a much bigger storage capacity for apps and games than Samsung Galaxy Alpha, because it has more internal storage and an external memory card slot that supports up to 512 GB. The Xperia 1 counts with just a bit better hardware performance than Samsung Galaxy Alpha, because although it has doesn't have an extra graphics processing unit, it also counts with a higher number of cores and more RAM.

Xperia 1 counts with a really longer battery duration than Samsung Galaxy Alpha, because it has a 3330mAh battery capacity against 1860mAh. Xperia 1 has a bit better camera than Galaxy Alpha, because although it has worse video frame rates, and they both have a same resolution camera in the back and the same 3840x2160 video definition, the Xperia 1 also counts with a much bigger diafragm aperture.

Although Sony Xperia 1 is a better device, it is way more expensive than Galaxy Alpha, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Galaxy Alpha. So if you want that extra features and specs, you can buy Sony Xperia 1, but if you don't you can save some money and buy the Galaxy Alpha, giving up some features and specifications.
