Xperia XZ Premium is just a bit better than the Samsung Galaxy Alpha, having a 79.8 score against 76.3. Even being the best phone in this review, the Xperia XZ Premium is a way heavier and thicker phone than the Samsung Galaxy Alpha. The Sony Xperia XZ Premium has a much sharper display than Galaxy Alpha, because it has a larger display, a much better display pixels density and a way higher 2160 x 3840 resolution.
The Galaxy Alpha and the Xperia XZ Premium both have incredibly similar CPUs, because although the Xperia XZ Premium has doesn't have an extra graphics processing unit, it also counts with a larger amount of RAM memory and 4 more cores (although they are slower). Xperia XZ Premium has a very superior memory capacity to install games and applications than Galaxy Alpha, because it has a slot for external memory cards that allows up to 256 GB and 64 GB internal storage.
The Sony Xperia XZ Premium features a superior battery duration than Galaxy Alpha, because it has a 3230mAh battery size instead of 1860mAh. The Sony Xperia XZ Premium features just a bit better camera than Galaxy Alpha, and although they both have the same (4K) video resolution and the same video frame rate, the Sony Xperia XZ Premium also has a larger diafragm aperture and a camera with lot more megapixels.
