Comparison review

Xperia Z5 has an overall score of 77.6, which is a little bit better than Galaxy Alpha's general score of 76.3. Even being the best in our current comparison, the Xperia Z5 design is somewhat thicker and heavier than Galaxy Alpha. Both devices in this review come with Android OS (Operating System), but Xperia Z5 has the newer 5.1 version and Galaxy Alpha has Android 4.4.4, so it provides the user lots of additional features and optimized performance.

Xperia Z5 features a little sharper screen than Galaxy Alpha, because it has more pixels per display inch, a little bit larger display and a lot better resolution of 1920 x 1080. Xperia Z5 has a very superior memory capacity to store more apps and games than Samsung Galaxy Alpha, and although they both have equal internal memory capacity, the Xperia Z5 also has a slot for an external memory card that supports up to 200 GB.

The Samsung Galaxy Alpha and the Xperia Z5 both feature really similar CPUs, and although the Xperia Z5 has a larger number of cores and 1 GB more RAM, they both have a 450 MHz graphics processing unit. Sony Xperia Z5 has a much better camera than Samsung Galaxy Alpha, and although they both have the same video frame rate and the same (4K) video definition, the Sony Xperia Z5 also has a back facing camera with a lot higher 23 mega pixels resolution and a bigger camera aperture to take better low-light images and video.

The Xperia Z5 counts with a much longer battery life than Samsung Galaxy Alpha, because it has a 2900mAh battery capacity.

Although Sony Xperia Z5 is a better device, it costs more than the Samsung Galaxy Alpha, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Samsung Galaxy Alpha. If you want to save some dollars, you can get the Samsung Galaxy Alpha, letting go a couple features and specs, but you'll get the most out of your money.
