Comparison review
Xiaomi Mi Max has a general score of 77.5, which is a little bit better than the Galaxy Alpha's score of 76.3. Xiaomi Mi Max's design is thicker and noticeably heavier than the Galaxy Alpha. Galaxy Alpha has a bit faster CPU than Xiaomi Mi Max, because although it has a lower amount of RAM and a lower number of cores , it also counts with a graphics processing unit.
Galaxy Alpha features a little bit better looking display than Xiaomi Mi Max, although it has a way lower resolution of 1280 x 720, a bit less pixels per inch of display and a really smaller screen. The Xiaomi Mi Max has a much greater storage for applications, games, photos and videos than Galaxy Alpha, because it has a SD extension slot that supports up to 256 GB and more internal memory.
The Xiaomi Mi Max shoots clearer videos and photos than Galaxy Alpha, and although they both have the same 30 frames per second video frame rates and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution, the Xiaomi Mi Max also has a back facing camera with a way better resolution and a bigger camera aperture.
Xiaomi Mi Max features a way better battery life than Galaxy Alpha, because it has 4850mAh of battery capacity.
