The Samsung Galaxy Note Edge has an overall score of 81.7, which is better than the Galaxy Alpha's 74.2 global score. Both of these phones come with Android OS (operating system), but Samsung Galaxy Note Edge has 5.0 version and Galaxy Alpha has Android 4.4.4, so it offers a couple nice extra features and improved performance. The Samsung Galaxy Note Edge is a a lot thicker and much heavier phone than the Galaxy Alpha.
The Samsung Galaxy Note Edge features a bit better hardware performance than Samsung Galaxy Alpha, because although it has a lower number of cores , it also counts with an extra GPU and a higher amount of RAM. Galaxy Note Edge has a brighter display than Samsung Galaxy Alpha, because it has a larger screen, a way higher number of pixels per display inch and a way better resolution of 2560 x 1440px.
The Samsung Galaxy Note Edge features a bit better camera than Galaxy Alpha, and although they both have the same video frame rates, the same 3840x2160 (4K) video definition and a same size aperture, the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge also has a back facing camera with a much better resolution. The Galaxy Note Edge features a much better memory to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Galaxy Alpha, and although they both have equal internal memory capacity, the Galaxy Note Edge also has an external memory card slot that allows a maximum of 128 GB.
The Samsung Galaxy Note Edge has a way better battery performance than Galaxy Alpha, because it has a 61 percent greater battery capacity.
