Galaxy Fold is much better than the Huawei Mate 9 Pro, getting a global score of 97.6 against 78.7. Both phones in this review work with Android operating system, but Galaxy Fold has a newer 9.0 Pie version and Huawei Mate 9 Pro has Android 8.0 Oreo. Galaxy Fold's body is a lot newer and just a bit thinner, but a lot heavier than Huawei Mate 9 Pro.
Galaxy Fold counts with a bit better processing power than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, and although they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the Galaxy Fold also has more RAM memory. Huawei Mate 9 Pro counts with a bit sharper display than Galaxy Fold, because although it has a really smaller screen, it also counts with a little higher 1440 x 2560 pixels resolution and a higher number of pixels per inch of screen.
The Samsung Galaxy Fold counts with a little bit better camera than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, and although they both have the same (4K) video resolution and a same resolution camera, the Samsung Galaxy Fold also has a way bigger camera aperture to capture better low light captures, a bigger camera sensor which provides a better image and video quality and better video frame rates.
The Galaxy Fold has a much bigger memory for applications and games than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, because it has more internal storage capacity. Galaxy Fold has just a bit better battery performance than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, because it has a 10% more battery size.
Galaxy Fold costs a lot more than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, but you can get a much better phone for that few more dollars.
