Comparison review

Galaxy Fold is better than the LG G8X ThinQ, having a score of 97.6 against 82.7. Both devices in this review come with Android OS (Operating System), but Galaxy Fold has the newer 9.0 Pie version and LG G8X ThinQ has Android 10, so it provides some nice extra features and performance optimizations. Even though the Galaxy Fold and LG G8X ThinQ were only released with a couple months difference, the Galaxy Fold body is incredibly heavier but also somewhat thinner.

LG G8X ThinQ features a little bit better screen than Samsung Galaxy Fold, because although it has a quite smaller screen and a bit lower 1080 x 2340px resolution, it also counts with a just a bit better pixel quantity in each display inch. The Galaxy Fold counts with a slightly bigger storage capacity for applications and games than LG G8X ThinQ, because although it has no slot for an SD memory card, it also counts with 384 GB more internal memory.

Samsung Galaxy Fold counts with just a little better processing power than LG G8X ThinQ, and although they both have 8 cpu cores, the Samsung Galaxy Fold also has 6 GB more RAM. Samsung Galaxy Fold counts with a little bit better camera than LG G8X ThinQ, and although they both have a same size back-facing camera sensor, a camera in the back with a 12 megapixels resolution, the same 3840x2160 (4K) video definition and the same video frame rates, the Samsung Galaxy Fold also has a larger diafragm aperture to take better low light images.

Galaxy Fold has a little better battery life than LG G8X ThinQ, because it has 4380mAh of battery capacity against 4000mAh.

Although Galaxy Fold is a better device, it costs a lot more than the LG G8X ThinQ, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as LG G8X ThinQ. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy the Galaxy Fold, otherwise you can save a couple dollars and get the LG G8X ThinQ, giving up a couple specifications.
