Comparison review
Samsung Galaxy Fold is better than the LG Velvet, getting a overall score of 97.6 against 87.1. Although the Samsung Galaxy Fold and the LG Velvet were released with only 8 months difference, the Samsung Galaxy Fold construction is a lot heavier but also thinner than the LG Velvet. Galaxy Fold features a bit better processing unit than LG Velvet, and although they both have 8 processing cores, the Galaxy Fold also has more RAM memory.
LG Velvet features a little bit better screen than Galaxy Fold, because although it has a little bit worse resolution of 1080 x 2460px and a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a little bit better pixel count in each inch of display. LG Velvet features a much better camera than Samsung Galaxy Fold, because although it has a tinier aperture and lower 30 fps video frame rates, and they both have the same video definition, the LG Velvet also counts with a much larger sensor which provides a way better image and video quality and a back camera with a much higher 48 megapixels resolution.
The Samsung Galaxy Fold has a slightly better memory to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than LG Velvet, because although it has no SD extension slot, it also counts with 384 GB more internal memory. The Galaxy Fold has just a little better battery performance than LG Velvet, because it has a 4380mAh battery capacity instead of 4300mAh.
Although Galaxy Fold is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than LG Velvet, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as LG Velvet. So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy the Galaxy Fold, but if you don't you can save some money and get the LG Velvet, giving up a couple specifications.
