Comparison review
The Samsung Galaxy Fold is much better than the OnePlus 8 UW, having a overall score of 97.6 against 75.9. Samsung Galaxy Fold's body is thinner but incredibly heavier than the OnePlus 8 UW, and they were released only 7 months apart. These phones work with Android OS, but the Samsung Galaxy Fold has a newer 9.0 Pie version while OnePlus 8 UW has Android 10, offering a couple nice extra features and a performance increase.
The Galaxy Fold counts with a bit more powerful processor than OnePlus 8 UW, and although they both have a Octa-Core processor, the Galaxy Fold also has more RAM. OnePlus 8 UW counts with a much better looking display than Galaxy Fold, because although it has a quite smaller screen and a little lower resolution of 1080 x 2400, it also counts with a just a bit better screen density.
Samsung Galaxy Fold has a superior storage to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than OnePlus 8 UW, because it has 512 GB internal memory capacity. OnePlus 8 UW has a better camera than Galaxy Fold, because although it has a smaller diafragm aperture which is not recommended for low light photos and videos, and they both have the same video frame rates and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality, the OnePlus 8 UW also counts with a lot more mega pixels back facing camera and a much larger back-facing camera sensor capturing much better quality videos and pictures.
Galaxy Fold has a bit superior battery life than OnePlus 8 UW, because it has a 4380mAh battery capacity.
Samsung Galaxy Fold is a lot more expensive than the OnePlus 8 UW, but it's still a good choice, because you can get a lot more features for that extra money.
