Comparison review

The Samsung Galaxy Fold has a general score of 97.6, which is a lot better than the Samsung Galaxy Alpha's 76.3 score. Even being the best device we compare here, the Samsung Galaxy Fold is a noticeably heavier and just a little bit thicker device than the Samsung Galaxy Alpha. Both phones in our current comparison include Android operating system, but the Samsung Galaxy Fold has newer 9.0 Pie version and Samsung Galaxy Alpha has Android 4.4.4 version.

The Galaxy Alpha features a bit sharper display than Galaxy Fold, although it has a lot smaller display, a much lower resolution of 1280 x 720 and a little worse pixel density. Galaxy Fold features a lot bigger storage for games and applications than Galaxy Alpha, because it has 512 GB internal storage capacity.

The Galaxy Fold has a bit better processor than Galaxy Alpha, because although it has doesn't have a graphics processing unit, it also counts with more RAM memory and a greater number of cores (and they are faster). The Galaxy Fold counts with a way better battery life than Galaxy Alpha, because it has a 135 percent bigger battery size.

The Galaxy Fold shoots slightly better photographs and videos than Galaxy Alpha, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video definition and the same resolution back camera, the Galaxy Fold also has a much larger camera aperture to take better photos and video in poorly lited situations and higher 60 frames per second video frame rates.

Although Samsung Galaxy Fold is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Samsung Galaxy Alpha, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Samsung Galaxy Alpha. So if you need that extra features, you can buy the Samsung Galaxy Fold, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and get the Samsung Galaxy Alpha, resigning a couple specs and features.
