Comparison review

The Galaxy Fold has a score of 97.6, which is a bit better than the Sony Xperia 1 III's overall score of 93.3. Despite of the fact the Galaxy Fold is older and notably heavier than Sony Xperia 1 III, it's construction is still somewhat thinner. Both phones in this review have Android OS (Operating System), but Galaxy Fold has the newer 9.0 Pie version while Sony Xperia 1 III has Android 11.

The Xperia 1 III's CPU is very similar to Samsung Galaxy Fold's processor, they have 8 cores and 12 GB of RAM memory. Xperia 1 III features a more vivid screen than Galaxy Fold, because although it has a bit smaller display, it also counts with a higher resolution of 1644 x 3840 pixels and a lot more pixels per inch of screen.

Xperia 1 III has a bit better camera than Galaxy Fold, because although it has a tinier aperture which is not so good for taking pictures in low light situations, and they both have a 12 mega pixels back-facing camera and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution, the Xperia 1 III also counts with a way larger back camera sensor which offers a lot higher image and video quality and higher 120 frames per second video frame rate.

Xperia 1 III has a slightly better memory capacity to install applications and games than Galaxy Fold, because although it has just 256 GB internal memory, it also counts with an external memory card slot that allows up to 1 TB. Sony Xperia 1 III counts with a bit superior battery duration than Galaxy Fold, because it has 4500mAh of battery capacity instead of 4380mAh.

Although Samsung Galaxy Fold is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Xperia 1 III, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Xperia 1 III. So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy the Samsung Galaxy Fold, but if you don't you can save some money and get the Xperia 1 III, resigning a couple features and specifications.
