Comparison review
Galaxy Fold is much better than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, with a 97.6 score against 76.6. These devices include Android operating system, but the Galaxy Fold has a newer 9.0 Pie version while Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 has Android 10. Even though the Galaxy Fold and Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 were only released with a few months difference, the Galaxy Fold construction is heavier but also much thinner than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9.
Samsung Galaxy Fold counts with a little bit better processing power than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, and although they both have a Octa-Core processing unit, the Samsung Galaxy Fold also has 9 GB more RAM memory. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 and Galaxy Fold both have quite similar displays, because although the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 has a little smaller display and a little bit lower resolution of 1080 x 2340, it also counts with a bit more pixels per inch of display.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 shoots just a bit better photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy Fold, because although it has a tinier aperture and lower video frame rate, and they both have the same video quality, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 also counts with a lot larger sensor and a lot more megapixels back facing camera.
The Galaxy Fold counts with a much greater memory capacity for apps and games than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, because although it has no slot for external memory cards, it also counts with more internal storage. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 has a little better battery performance than Samsung Galaxy Fold, because it has a 5020mAh battery capacity.
Although Galaxy Fold is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy the Galaxy Fold, else you can save a couple dollars and buy the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, letting go a couple features and specs.
