The Nokia 3.1 A is much better than the Samsung Galaxy J1, having a global score of 64.8 against 57.9. Both devices in this review work with Android OS, but Nokia 3.1 A has 9.0 Pie version and Samsung Galaxy J1 has Android 4.4.4 version, so it gives a couple additional features and performance tweaks. The Nokia 3.1 A construction is newer than Samsung Galaxy J1's, although it's a little thicker and a lot heavier.
Galaxy J1 has just a bit better looking display than Nokia 3.1 A, although it has a much lower screen density, a lot worse 800 x 480px resolution and a really smaller screen. Nokia 3.1 A has a better CPU than Galaxy J1, because it has a larger number of cores and 1,5 GB more RAM. The Nokia 3.1 A has a greater camera than Galaxy J1, because it has a much better resolution back camera and a much higher video resolution.
The Nokia 3.1 A counts with much more memory capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy J1, and although they both have a slot for an external memory card that admits a maximum of 128 GB, the Nokia 3.1 A also has 32 GB internal memory. Nokia 3.1 A counts with a very superior battery performance than Galaxy J1, because it has a 2990mAh battery capacity.
The Nokia 3.1 A costs exactly the same than Galaxy J1, which makes it easy to pick between these phones.
