Galaxy C5 has a global score of 76.4, which is a bit better than Galaxy J5 (2017)'s 71.8 score. The Galaxy C5 is an older phone than Galaxy J5 (2017), but Samsung was able to make it thinner and lighter anyway. Samsung Galaxy C5 has a processing unit that's very similar to the Galaxy J5 (2017) one, and although the Samsung Galaxy C5 has a larger amount of RAM memory, they both have 8 processing cores.

The Galaxy C5 counts with a much better looking display than Samsung Galaxy J5 (2017), and although they both have a display of the same size, the Galaxy C5 also has a lot higher display density and a way better 1080 x 1920 resolution. The Galaxy C5 has a much greater storage capacity to install applications and games than Galaxy J5 (2017), because although it has a slot for an external memory card that allows 128 GB smaller, it also counts with 64 GB internal memory capacity.

Galaxy C5 takes slightly better pictures and videos than Galaxy J5 (2017), because although it has a smaller camera aperture which is worse for low-light captures and video, and they both have the same 1920x1080 video resolution and the same 30 fps video frame rate, the Galaxy C5 also counts with a camera in the back with more megapixels.

The Samsung Galaxy J5 (2017) has just a little bit longer battery life than Galaxy C5, because it has a 3000mAh battery capacity instead of 2600mAh.
