The Galaxy S9 is better than the Samsung Galaxy J5 (2017), with an 83.3 score against 71.8. Despite being the best cellphone in our current comparison, we must tell that it is also a just a little heavier and a little bit thicker cellphone. The Galaxy S9 counts with a lot better looking screen than Galaxy J5 (2017), because it has a much greater display pixel density, a little bigger screen and a lot better 1440 x 2960 resolution.
The Galaxy S9 features a much greater storage for applications, games, photos and videos than Galaxy J5 (2017), because it has more internal memory capacity and a SD extension slot that supports a maximum of 400 GB. Samsung Galaxy S9 features a bit better hardware performance than Galaxy J5 (2017), and although they both have 8 CPU cores, the Samsung Galaxy S9 also has a larger amount of RAM.
The Samsung Galaxy S9 and Samsung Galaxy J5 (2017) have very similar batteries performance. Samsung Galaxy S9 takes much clearer pictures and videos than Samsung Galaxy J5 (2017), because although it has a camera in the back with lesser mega-pixels resolution, it also counts with a larger camera aperture to capture better low light images and videos and a way better video resolution.
