The Galaxy S22 has a general score of 93.4, which is much better than the Galaxy J7 (2017)'s general score of 73.5. The Galaxy S22 is a much newer cellphone, and it's also just a bit thinner and a bit lighter than the Galaxy J7 (2017). These phones have Android OS (operating system), but Galaxy S22 has an older 13 version while Galaxy J7 (2017) has Android 9.0 Pie.
Galaxy S22 has a little bit better hardware performance than Samsung Galaxy J7 (2017), and although they both have 8 processing cores, the Galaxy S22 also has 5 GB more RAM.
