Comparison review
The Xperia Z5 is slightly better than Samsung Galaxy J7 (2018), with a 77.6 score against 72.5. Even though the Xperia Z5 is noticeably older than Samsung Galaxy J7 (2018), it's body is somewhat lighter and somewhat thinner. The Xperia Z5 counts with a much more vibrant screen than Galaxy J7 (2018), because although it has a bit smaller display, it also counts with a much higher pixels quantity per inch in the screen and a way higher resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels.
Samsung Galaxy J7 (2018) counts with a greater storage capacity to install games and applications than Xperia Z5, and although they both have exactly the same internal memory, the Samsung Galaxy J7 (2018) also has a slot for an SD memory card that allows up to 400 GB. The Sony Xperia Z5 features a bit more powerful processor than Galaxy J7 (2018), and although they both have 8 CPU cores, the Sony Xperia Z5 also has an additional graphics co-processor and a greater amount of RAM memory.
Galaxy J7 (2018) has a little better battery life than Xperia Z5, because it has a 14% greater battery capacity. The Xperia Z5 takes much better photographs and videos than Galaxy J7 (2018), because although it has a smaller aperture, it also counts with a much more megapixels back-facing camera, a much better video resolution and a way bigger back camera sensor providing a lot better image quality.
Although Xperia Z5 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Galaxy J7 (2018), and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Galaxy J7 (2018). So if you want that extra specs, you can buy the Xperia Z5, else you can save some dollars and get the Galaxy J7 (2018), letting go some features and specs.
