Galaxy Note3 has a general score of 77.7, which is a bit better than the Galaxy J7 Max's 76.1 score. Both of these phones include Android operating system, but Galaxy Note3 has 4.4.2 version while Galaxy J7 Max has Android 7.0 Nougat version. The Galaxy Note3 design is a little lighter than Galaxy J7 Max, although it's just a bit thicker and was released 4 years before.

Galaxy J7 Max features a little better performance than Galaxy Note3, because it has a greater amount of RAM memory and more 2.3 GHz CPU cores.
