Sony Xperia Z3 has a general score of 77.3, which is a bit better than the Samsung Galaxy J7 Max's 76.1 score. Both devices in this review use Android OS (operating system), but Sony Xperia Z3 has the previous 4.4.4 version while Samsung Galaxy J7 Max has Android 7.0 Nougat version. Even though the Sony Xperia Z3 is older and a little thicker than the Samsung Galaxy J7 Max, it's design is still a little bit lighter.
The Xperia Z3 has a much more vibrant screen than Galaxy J7 Max, because although it has a bit smaller display, and they both have exactly the same 1920 x 1080 resolution, the Xperia Z3 also counts with a just a bit higher display pixel density. Galaxy J7 Max has a little bit more storage to store more games and applications than Xperia Z3, and although they both have the same internal memory capacity, the Galaxy J7 Max also has a slot for an external memory card that allows up to 256 GB.
Xperia Z3 features a little better performance than Galaxy J7 Max, because although it has less RAM memory and 4 lesser CPU cores , it also counts with a GPU. Sony Xperia Z3 takes better photos and videos than Galaxy J7 Max, because although it has a smaller aperture which is not recommended for capturing photos in poorly lited situations, it also counts with a way better 20.7 mega pixels resolution camera and a lot higher video resolution.
The Samsung Galaxy J7 Max has just a little bit longer battery life than Xperia Z3, because it has a 3% bigger battery size.
