The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 is a little bit better than the Samsung Galaxy J7 Star, having a 79.3 score against 73.1. Both of these devices work with Android OS, but Samsung Galaxy Note 5 has an older 5.1 version and Samsung Galaxy J7 Star has Android 9.0 Pie. Samsung Galaxy Note 5's body is a little lighter and somewhat thinner than Samsung Galaxy J7 Star, despite of the fact that it was released 3 years before.

Galaxy Note 5 counts with an incredibly better screen than Samsung Galaxy J7 Star, because it has a little bit larger display, a lot better resolution of 2560 x 1440 and a way higher pixels quantity per screen inch. Galaxy J7 Star counts with just a bit better hardware performance than Galaxy Note 5, because although it has a lower amount of RAM, it also counts with 7 more cpu cores.

Samsung Galaxy J7 Star has a way bigger storage for applications, games, photos and videos than Galaxy Note 5, because although it has only 32 GB internal memory, it also counts with a SD memory slot that supports up to 400 GB. The Galaxy J7 Star counts with a little better battery duration than Galaxy Note 5, because it has a 10% bigger battery size.

Samsung Galaxy Note 5 captures just a bit better pictures and videos than Galaxy J7 Star, because although it has a tinier diafragm aperture which is not recommended for taking images or video in low light environments, it also counts with a back facing camera with a higher resolution, a lot higher 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution and a larger sensor taking higher quality videos and photographs.

Although Samsung Galaxy Note 5 is a better device, it costs a lot more than Galaxy J7 Star, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Galaxy J7 Star. So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy the Samsung Galaxy Note 5, otherwise you can save some dollars and buy the Galaxy J7 Star, letting go some specifications.
