Samsung Galaxy S7 edge has a score of 78.1, which is just a bit better than Samsung Galaxy J7 Star's general score of 73.1. These phones come with Android operating system, but the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge has an older 8.0 Oreo version and Samsung Galaxy J7 Star has Android 9.0 Pie. Samsung Galaxy S7 edge is an much older cellphone than the Samsung Galaxy J7 Star, but Samsung made it somewhat lighter and thinner.

Galaxy S7 edge has a way better looking display than Galaxy J7 Star, and although they both have a display of the same size, the Galaxy S7 edge also has a lot higher 1440 x 2560 resolution and a much better pixels density. Galaxy S7 edge features just a bit better processing power than Galaxy J7 Star, because although it has less cpu cores (but faster), it also counts with a higher amount of RAM memory.

Galaxy S7 edge features a little bit better camera than Galaxy J7 Star, because although it has a lower resolution camera, and they both have a same size diafragm aperture, the Galaxy S7 edge also counts with a bigger back-facing camera sensor shooting better quality videos and pictures and a way higher (4K) video quality.

The Galaxy J7 Star counts with a better memory capacity for games and applications than Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, and although they both have exactly the same 32 GB internal storage capacity, the Galaxy J7 Star also has a SD card slot that holds a maximum of 400 GB. The Samsung Galaxy S7 edge features a bit superior battery life than Samsung Galaxy J7 Star, because it has a 9% greater battery capacity.

Although Samsung Galaxy S7 edge is a better device, it is way more expensive than Galaxy J7 Star, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Galaxy J7 Star. If you are trying to save a few dollars, you can get the Galaxy J7 Star, giving up a couple features and specs, but you'll get the most out of your money.
