Comparison review

The Xiaomi Mi 8 is much better than Samsung Galaxy J7 Star, getting an 83.3 score against 73.1. Xiaomi Mi 8 is a a bit lighter and somewhat thinner phone than the Samsung Galaxy J7 Star, even when both of them were only released with a couple of months difference. Both of these phones come with Android OS (Operating System), but Xiaomi Mi 8 has older 10 version while Samsung Galaxy J7 Star has Android 9.0 Pie version.

Xiaomi Mi 8 features a greater hardware performance than Samsung Galaxy J7 Star, and although they both have a Octa-Core processor, the Xiaomi Mi 8 also has more RAM. The Xiaomi Mi 8 counts with a much more vibrant screen than Samsung Galaxy J7 Star, because it has a little larger screen, a way better resolution of 1080 x 2248 pixels and a lot higher screen pixels density.

Xiaomi Mi 8 takes slightly better videos and photos than Galaxy J7 Star, because although it has a tinier aperture which is not nice for capturing photos or videos in poorly lited situations and a lower 12 megapixels resolution camera, it also counts with a lot better video definition and a larger sensor which offers a higher image and video quality.

The Xiaomi Mi 8 features a very superior storage to install games and applications than Galaxy J7 Star, because although it has no slot for external memory cards, it also counts with 256 GB internal storage capacity. The Xiaomi Mi 8 has just a bit better battery duration than Galaxy J7 Star, because it has 3400mAh of battery capacity.
