Comparison review
Xiaomi Mi Note 2 is slightly better than the Samsung Galaxy J7 Star, having a 76 score against 73.1. The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 design is somewhat thinner and a bit lighter than the Samsung Galaxy J7 Star, despite of the fact that it was released just a bit further than a year before. Both devices in our current comparison include Android OS (Operating System), but the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 has the previous 6.0 Marshmallow version while Samsung Galaxy J7 Star has Android 9.0 Pie version.
Xiaomi Mi Note 2 has a brighter display than Galaxy J7 Star, because it has a little bit larger display, more pixels per inch of screen and a much higher resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 features just a bit more memory to install applications and games than Galaxy J7 Star, because although it has no external memory slot, it also counts with more internal storage.
The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 has a little bit better performance than Galaxy J7 Star, because although it has 4 lesser CPU cores (although they are faster), it also counts with a larger amount of RAM. The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 has improved battery performance than Galaxy J7 Star, because it has a 4070mAh battery capacity instead of 3300mAh.
Galaxy J7 Star counts with a little bit better camera than Xiaomi Mi Note 2, because although it has a lot lower 13 mega-pixels resolution back facing camera, a tinier back-facing camera sensor which provides a worse image and video quality and a lot worse 1920x1080 (Full HD) video definition, it also counts with a larger aperture.
Although Xiaomi Mi Note 2 is a better device, it is way more expensive than Galaxy J7 Star, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Galaxy J7 Star. If you are trying to save a few dollars, you can get Galaxy J7 Star, giving up some specs and features, but you'll get the most with your savings.
