Comparison review
Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 is slightly better than Samsung Galaxy J7 Star, with a global score of 76.6 against 73.1. Both phones in this review work with Android operating system, but the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 has an older 10 version and Samsung Galaxy J7 Star has Android 9.0 Pie version. Xiaomi Redmi Note 9's body is newer, but a little bit heavier and just a little thicker than Samsung Galaxy J7 Star.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 features a bit more powerful processing unit than Samsung Galaxy J7 Star, and although they both have 8 cores, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 also has 1 GB more RAM. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 features a sharper screen than Galaxy J7 Star, because it has a greater display pixels density, a bigger screen and a lot higher 1080 x 2340 resolution.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 has slightly more memory capacity for games and applications than Samsung Galaxy J7 Star, because although it has a slot for external memory cards that allows up to 128 GB against 400 GB, it also counts with 64 GB internal memory capacity. Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 counts with a much better battery life than Samsung Galaxy J7 Star, because it has a 5020mAh battery size against 3300mAh.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 shoots way better photographs and videos than Samsung Galaxy J7 Star, because although it has a tinier aperture which is not favorable for low light captures, and they both have the same video quality and the same 30 fps video frame rate, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 also counts with a much larger sensor which offers a much better image and video quality and a much more mega-pixels camera in the back.
Although Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Samsung Galaxy J7 Star, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Samsung Galaxy J7 Star. If you prefer to save a few dollars, you can buy the Samsung Galaxy J7 Star, giving up some specs and features, but you'll get the most with your savings.
