Huawei Mate 20 is much better than the Samsung Galaxy J7 V (2018), with a 79.5 score against 71.9. Huawei Mate 20's body is a little thinner but a little bit heavier than Samsung Galaxy J7 V (2018), and both were released with only a couple of months difference. Both phones we are comparing here have Android OS (Operating System), but Huawei Mate 20 has newer 9.0 Pie version while Samsung Galaxy J7 V (2018) has Android 8.0 Oreo version, providing some nice extra features and a performance increase.
The Huawei Mate 20 counts with a bit superior processing unit than Galaxy J7 V (2018), and although they both have the same number of cores, the Huawei Mate 20 also has a larger amount of RAM. The Huawei Mate 20 counts with a way better looking display than Galaxy J7 V (2018), because it has a bigger screen, a lot higher 1080 x 2244 resolution and a better amount of pixels per display inch.
The Huawei Mate 20 takes much better photographs and videos than Galaxy J7 V (2018), because although it has a back camera with lesser mega-pixels resolution and a smaller camera aperture which is not so good for capturing photographs and videos in low light situations, it also counts with a much better 3840x2160 (4K) video quality.
The Huawei Mate 20 has just a bit more storage for apps and games than Galaxy J7 V (2018), because although it has no external memory slot, it also counts with 128 GB internal memory. Huawei Mate 20 has improved battery life than Galaxy J7 V (2018), because it has a 21% more battery size.
Although Huawei Mate 20 is a better device, it is way more expensive than Galaxy J7 V (2018), and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Galaxy J7 V (2018). If you are trying to save a few dollars, you can get Galaxy J7 V (2018), letting go a couple features, but you will get the most with your money.
