Comparison review
The Sony Xperia 1 is much better than the Samsung Galaxy J7 V (2018), getting an 82.6 score against 71.9. Sony Xperia 1's design is newer, just a bit thinner and just a little lighter than the Samsung Galaxy J7 V (2018). Xperia 1 features a greater hardware performance than Samsung Galaxy J7 V (2018), and although they both have a Octa-Core processor, the Xperia 1 also has 4 GB more RAM.
Sony Xperia 1 counts with a lot better screen than Samsung Galaxy J7 V (2018), because it has a much higher pixels count per inch in the display, a way higher resolution of 1644 x 3840 pixels and a larger screen. Xperia 1 has a much greater storage for games and applications than Galaxy J7 V (2018), because it has 128 GB internal memory and a SD card slot that holds up to 512 GB.
Xperia 1 captures clearer pictures and videos than Galaxy J7 V (2018), because although it has a back facing camera with less mega pixels resolution, it also counts with a bigger diafragm aperture to take better low light photography and a much better 3840x2160 video quality. Sony Xperia 1 features a battery lifetime that is just as good as the Samsung Galaxy J7 V (2018) one, although the Sony Xperia 1 also has a 1 percent greater battery capacity.

So if you want that extra features and specs, you can buy the Sony Xperia 1, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and buy the Samsung Galaxy J7 V (2018), giving up some features and specifications.
