Google Pixel 3 XL is a little bit better than Galaxy J8, with a general score of 80.7 against 76.7. Even though the Google Pixel 3 XL and Galaxy J8 were released only 4 months apart, the Google Pixel 3 XL body is just a little thinner but a little heavier. Google Pixel 3 XL features a much better screen than Galaxy J8, because it has a little larger screen, a way greater screen density and a lot higher 1440 x 2960px resolution.
The Samsung Galaxy J8 features a much greater storage to store more games and applications than Google Pixel 3 XL, and although they both have exactly the same internal memory capacity, the Samsung Galaxy J8 also has an external memory card slot that allows a maximum of 256 GB. The Google Pixel 3 XL counts with a little bit better hardware performance than Samsung Galaxy J8. Both have 8 CPU cores and the same RAM amount.
Google Pixel 3 XL and Galaxy J8 feature very similar battery durations, although the Google Pixel 3 XL has a 2% smaller battery size. Google Pixel 3 XL captures a bit better photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy J8, because although it has a much lower 12.2 mega pixels resolution camera in the back and a tinier diafragm aperture, it also counts with a bigger sensor taking higher quality videos and photos and a lot higher 3840x2160 (4K) video definition.
