Motorola Moto G31 has a global score of 77, which is slightly better than the Galaxy J8's score of 76.7. Even though Motorola Moto G31 is notably newer than the Galaxy J8, it's just a bit heavier and just a little bit thicker. Both devices in this review include Android operating system, but Motorola Moto G31 has 11 version while Galaxy J8 has Android 10, giving you some nice extra features and performance optimizations.

Moto G31 counts with a sharper screen than Galaxy J8, because it has a lot better 1080 x 2400 resolution, a better pixel amount per inch of display and a quite bigger screen. Moto G31 counts with a bit better processing power than Galaxy J8. Both have a Octa-Core processor and the same RAM amount. Moto G31 features a much bigger storage to install applications and games than Samsung Galaxy J8, and although they both have equal 64 GB internal storage, the Moto G31 also has a SD card slot that admits a maximum of 1 TB.

Motorola Moto G31 captures better photos and videos than Galaxy J8, because although it has a smaller diafragm aperture which is not recommended for low-light photos and video, and they both have the same 1920x1080 video resolution and the same video frame rates, the Motorola Moto G31 also counts with a back facing camera with much more MP.

Motorola Moto G31 has a very superior battery life than Samsung Galaxy J8, because it has 5000mAh of battery capacity.
