Samsung Galaxy M30 has a global score of 82.4, which is slightly better than Galaxy J8's 76.7 global score. Both phones in this review include Android operating system, but the Samsung Galaxy M30 has 9.0 Pie version while Galaxy J8 has Android 10 version, so it offers a couple nice extra features and performance optimizations. The Samsung Galaxy M30 construction is a bit lighter but a little bit thicker than Galaxy J8, and both were released only a few months apart.
Samsung Galaxy M30 counts with a brighter display than Galaxy J8, because it has a higher screen pixel density, a lot higher resolution of 1080 x 2280 pixels and a little bigger display. Galaxy M30 has a way bigger memory capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Galaxy J8, because it has 128 GB internal memory and a slot for external memory cards that holds up to 512 GB.
The Samsung Galaxy M30 features a bit more powerful processing unit than Samsung Galaxy J8, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Samsung Galaxy M30 also has a larger amount of RAM memory. Galaxy M30 has a very superior battery duration than Galaxy J8, because it has a 5000mAh battery capacity against 3500mAh.
Galaxy J8 features just a bit better camera than Samsung Galaxy M30, and although they both have the same 30 frames per second video frame rates and the same (Full HD) video definition, the Galaxy J8 also has a bigger aperture, a larger camera sensor capturing better quality photos and a back camera with more mega pixels.
