Galaxy Note 5 has a general score of 79.3, which is a bit better than Samsung Galaxy J8's 76.7 global score. Galaxy Note 5's body is a bit lighter and a little bit thinner than Samsung Galaxy J8, even though it was released many years before. Both phones in this comparison review include Android OS, but Galaxy Note 5 has older 5.1 version while Samsung Galaxy J8 has Android 10 version.

The Galaxy J8 features a little better processing power than Galaxy Note 5, and although they both have a 4 GB RAM, the Galaxy J8 also has more cores. The Galaxy Note 5 counts with a way better looking display than Galaxy J8, because although it has a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a much higher quantity of pixels per inch in the display and a lot better 2560 x 1440 resolution.

Galaxy Note 5 captures slightly better videos and photos than Galaxy J8, because although it has a tinier camera aperture which is worse for shooting pictures and video in poorly lited situations, and they both have a back camera with a 16 megapixels resolution, the Galaxy Note 5 also counts with a bigger sensor taking better quality videos and photos and a lot higher 3840x2160 video definition.

The Galaxy J8 features much more storage capacity to install applications and games than Samsung Galaxy Note 5, and although they both have exactly the same 64 GB internal storage capacity, the Galaxy J8 also has a SD memory slot that allows a maximum of 256 GB. Galaxy J8 features a bit better battery duration than Galaxy Note 5, because it has 3500mAh of battery capacity.
