Galaxy Note5 has a general score of 80.2, which is just a bit better than the Galaxy J8's overall score of 76.7. Despite of the fact that Galaxy Note5 is noticeably older than the Galaxy J8, it's body is a bit thinner and just a little lighter. The Samsung Galaxy Note5 features a brighter screen than Galaxy J8, because although it has a quite smaller display, it also counts with a way better resolution of 1440 x 2560 and a lot higher pixels number per inch in the screen.

The Galaxy Note5 counts with a bit better performance than Galaxy J8. They have 4 GB of RAM and a Octa-Core processor. Samsung Galaxy J8 has a way bigger memory capacity to store more apps and games than Galaxy Note5, and although they both have exactly the same internal storage capacity, the Samsung Galaxy J8 also has a slot for an external memory card that allows a maximum of 256 GB.

Galaxy Note5 features a little bit better camera than Galaxy J8, because although it has a tinier aperture which is not so good for low-light captures and videos, and they both have a 16 mega-pixels resolution back camera, the Galaxy Note5 also counts with a larger sensor capturing more light and vivid colors and a much higher 3840x2160 video quality.

The Galaxy J8 features a bit longer battery performance than Samsung Galaxy Note5, because it has a 17% greater battery capacity.
