Samsung Galaxy S4 has an overall score of 79, which is slightly better than Samsung Galaxy J8's overall score of 76.7. Both devices we are comparing use Android OS, but Samsung Galaxy S4 has an older 4.4 version and Samsung Galaxy J8 has Android 10 version. The Samsung Galaxy S4 body is a lot lighter and just a bit thinner than the Samsung Galaxy J8, even though it was released 5 years before.

Samsung Galaxy S4 counts with a much better looking screen than Galaxy J8, because although it has a quite smaller display, it also counts with a much higher amount of pixels per inch in the screen and a better 1920 x 1080px resolution. The Galaxy S4 has just a bit better processing power than Galaxy J8, because although it has less processing cores (but faster) and a smaller amount of RAM memory, it also counts with an additional graphics co-processor.

Samsung Galaxy J8 counts with more memory capacity to store more games and applications than Samsung Galaxy S4, and although they both have equal internal memory capacity, the Samsung Galaxy J8 also has a SD card slot that allows a maximum of 256 GB. The Samsung Galaxy J8 features superior battery lifetime than Galaxy S4, because it has a 3500mAh battery size.

Galaxy J8 has a slightly better camera than Galaxy S4, and although they both have the same video definition and the same 30 fps video frame rates, the Galaxy J8 also has a way bigger aperture, a bigger back camera sensor and a better resolution camera.
