The Samsung Galaxy J8 is a bit better than Samsung Galaxy M01, getting a 76.7 score against 74.7. The Samsung Galaxy J8 construction is somewhat thinner than the Samsung Galaxy M01, although it is a little bit heavier and was released many years before. Both devices in this review use Android OS (Operating System), but the Samsung Galaxy J8 has an older 10 version and Samsung Galaxy M01 has Android 11.
Galaxy M01 has a bit sharper screen than Galaxy J8, because although it has a little smaller display, it also counts with a quite better resolution of 720 x 1520px and a bit higher quantity of pixels per screen inch. The Galaxy J8 counts with slightly more storage for games and applications than Galaxy M01, because although it has an external SD slot that holds 256 GB smaller, it also counts with more internal storage.
The Galaxy M01 has a bit superior processor than Galaxy J8, although it has a lower amount of RAM, they both have a Octa-Core processing unit. The Samsung Galaxy J8 shoots slightly better photographs and videos than Samsung Galaxy M01, and although they both have the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video resolution and the same video frame rate, the Samsung Galaxy J8 also has a more mega pixels back facing camera, a much bigger aperture to take better photography and video in low light environments and a larger camera sensor which provides a better image and video quality.
Galaxy M01 features just a little better battery life than Galaxy J8, because it has a 4000mAh battery size against 3500mAh.
