Xiaomi Mi 8 has a general score of 83.3, which is much better than the Samsung Galaxy M01's general score of 74.7. Both devices in this review come with Android operating system, but the Xiaomi Mi 8 has the older 10 version while Samsung Galaxy M01 has Android 11 version. The Xiaomi Mi 8 is an older and a bit heavier phone than the Samsung Galaxy M01, but Xiaomi managed to make it extremely thinner anyway.
The Xiaomi Mi 8 has a brighter screen than Samsung Galaxy M01, because it has a better count of pixels per inch in the display, a lot higher 1080 x 2248 resolution and a bit bigger display. Xiaomi Mi 8 features a bit faster processing unit than Galaxy M01, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Xiaomi Mi 8 also has a higher amount of RAM memory.
The Xiaomi Mi 8 counts with a superior camera than Galaxy M01, because although it has a lower 12 mega-pixels resolution back facing camera, it also counts with a bigger camera aperture for better low-light photography, a much higher 3840x2160 (4K) video quality and a larger sensor taking more light and vivid colors.
Xiaomi Mi 8 has a very superior memory for games and applications than Galaxy M01, because although it has no external memory card slot, it also counts with 256 GB internal memory capacity. The Galaxy M01 features better battery lifetime than Xiaomi Mi 8, because it has an 18 percent bigger battery size.
