The Asus ZenFone 8 is slightly better than the Galaxy M12, getting an 83 score against 80. Both devices in this comparison review come with Android OS, but Asus ZenFone 8 has the newer 11 version while Galaxy M12 has Android 10 version. Asus ZenFone 8 is a much lighter and just a little thinner device than Galaxy M12, although they were released only 2 months apart.
The Asus ZenFone 8 has a way better looking screen than Samsung Galaxy M12, because although it has a bit smaller display, it also counts with a way higher 1080 x 2400px resolution and a much higher number of pixels per inch in the display. The Samsung Galaxy M12 counts with a lot bigger storage for applications, games, photos and videos than Asus ZenFone 8, because although it has only 64 GB internal memory, it also counts with a SD extension slot that supports up to 1 TB.
The Asus ZenFone 8 features a little faster processor than Samsung Galaxy M12, and although they both have 8 CPU cores, the Asus ZenFone 8 also has 2 GB more RAM memory. The Samsung Galaxy M12 features a much longer battery duration than Asus ZenFone 8, because it has a 50% greater battery capacity.
Asus ZenFone 8 shoots much better photographs and videos than Samsung Galaxy M12, because it has a lot higher resolution camera in the back, a much better video resolution and a larger aperture to take better images and videos in low light environments.
