The Galaxy M12 is just a bit better than LG G5, getting a general score of 80 against 76.1. Both of these devices include Android operating system, but Galaxy M12 has the older 10 version and LG G5 has Android 8.0 Oreo version. The Galaxy M12 is a much newer cellphone than the LG G5, but it is notably heavier and noticeably thicker.
