The Galaxy M12 is just a bit better than the Galaxy XCover 5, having a global score of 80 against 78.1. These devices come with Android OS (Operating System), but the Galaxy M12 has an older 10 version and Galaxy XCover 5 has Android 11. Although it's the best cellphone in this review, the Galaxy M12 construction is just a bit thicker and way heavier than the Galaxy XCover 5.
Galaxy XCover 5 features a bit sharper display than Galaxy M12, because although it has a little bit smaller screen and a little worse 720 x 1480 pixels resolution, it also counts with a little bit better display density. Samsung Galaxy XCover 5 has as much storage for applications and games as the Samsung Galaxy M12 one, both have exactly the same internal memory and a slot for SD memory cards that admits a maximum of 1 TB.
Samsung Galaxy XCover 5's CPU is just as good as Galaxy M12's CPU, they have 8 cpu cores and a 4 GB RAM. The Galaxy M12 has a much better battery lifetime than Galaxy XCover 5, because it has a 100% larger battery size. The Galaxy M12 captures much clearer pictures and videos than Galaxy XCover 5, because although it has a tinier diafragm aperture which is not good for low-light photography, and they both have the same video definition and the same video frame rate, the Galaxy M12 also counts with a much higher resolution camera.
