The Xperia 1 V has an overall score of 82.7, which is a bit better than the Galaxy M12's 80 score. The Xperia 1 V body is extremely newer, somewhat lighter and thinner than the Galaxy M12. Both devices in this review use Android OS (operating system), but the Xperia 1 V has newer 13 version and Galaxy M12 has Android 10, counting with some nice extra features and optimized performance.
The Sony Xperia 1 V features a much better looking display than Galaxy M12, and although they both have a display of the same size, the Sony Xperia 1 V also has a lot better resolution of 1644 x 3840 pixels and a way higher number of pixels per display inch. The Xperia 1 V features a slightly bigger storage capacity for games and applications than Galaxy M12, because although it has no SD memory slot, it also counts with 192 GB more internal memory.
Samsung Galaxy M12 features a very superior performance than Sony Xperia 1 V, although it has 8 GB lesser RAM memory, they both have the same number of cores. The Galaxy M12 has better battery life than Xperia 1 V, because it has a 20% more battery capacity. Sony Xperia 1 V takes way better pictures and videos than Samsung Galaxy M12, and although they both have a 48 mega-pixels back camera, the Sony Xperia 1 V also has a bigger aperture for better captures and video in low light situations and a lot higher 3840x2160 video resolution.
