The Galaxy M20 has an overall score of 78.9, which is a bit better than Moto G9 Play's 76.7 general score. Despite of the fact that Galaxy M20 is older than the Moto G9 Play, it's construction is just a little thinner and just a bit lighter. These phones come with the same Android 10 OS, so you shouldn't notice any difference regarding that.
The Moto G9 Play has a little faster processor than Galaxy M20. Both have a 4 GB RAM and 8 cores. Galaxy M20 features a sharper screen than Motorola Moto G9 Play, because although it has a little bit smaller display, it also counts with a way better resolution of 1080 x 2340 and a much greater count of pixels per inch in the screen.
The Moto G9 Play features as much memory to store more apps and games as the Galaxy M20 one, they have a SD extension slot that admits up to 512 GB and exactly the same internal memory capacity. The Moto G9 Play features a lot better camera than Galaxy M20, and although they both have the same (Full HD) video definition, the Moto G9 Play also has a lot higher 48 mega pixels resolution camera in the back, a lot bigger sensor shooting much better quality videos and pictures, a bigger aperture and better video frame rate.
The Motorola Moto G9 Play's battery life is just as good as Samsung Galaxy M20's battery life.
