The Galaxy M21 has an overall score of 84.1, which is slightly better than Samsung Galaxy Note8's 83 overall score. Both of these devices include Android OS, but Galaxy M21 has older 11 version and Samsung Galaxy Note8 has Android 9.0 Pie. Although the Galaxy M21 is a bit thicker than the Samsung Galaxy Note8, it's a little bit lighter and also newer.

Galaxy Note8 has a little more vivid display than Galaxy M21, because although it has a little smaller screen, it also counts with a better resolution of 1440 x 2960 and a better pixel count in each display inch. The Galaxy Note8 counts with a bit faster processor than Samsung Galaxy M21, and although they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the Galaxy Note8 also has a higher amount of RAM memory.

Galaxy M21 shoots better videos and photos than Galaxy Note8, because although it has a smaller diafragm aperture which is not nice for low-light photos and video, and they both have the same video frame rates and the same 3840x2160 video resolution, the Galaxy M21 also counts with a lot more mega pixels back camera and a way larger sensor shooting lot better quality photographs.

Galaxy M21 features a bit more memory to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Galaxy Note8, and although they both have exactly the same 64 GB internal memory capacity, the Galaxy M21 also has an external SD slot that admits a maximum of 512 GB. The Galaxy M21 features a way better battery performance than Samsung Galaxy Note8, because it has an 82 percent larger battery size.
