Galaxy A42 has an overall score of 87, which is a little bit better than Galaxy M30's overall score of 82.4. Although the Galaxy A42 is newer than the Galaxy M30, it is just a bit thicker and a little heavier. Both of these phones work with Android OS, but the Galaxy A42 has the previous 11 version while Galaxy M30 has Android 9.0 Pie.
The Samsung Galaxy A42 has a little bit better processing power than Galaxy M30, although it has 2 GB lesser RAM memory, they both have the same number of cores. The Samsung Galaxy M30 counts with a better looking display than Galaxy A42, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with a greater pixels density and a lot higher resolution of 1080 x 2280px.
