Comparison review

The Samsung Galaxy M30 has a global score of 82.4, which is just a bit better than Galaxy S7 edge's 78.1 global score. Even though the Samsung Galaxy M30 is extremely newer than the Galaxy S7 edge, it is a bit thicker and a little bit heavier. Both devices we compare here work with Android operating system, but Samsung Galaxy M30 has a more recent 9.0 Pie version while Galaxy S7 edge has Android 8.0 Oreo version, providing lots of additional features.

Galaxy S7 edge has just a bit better display than Samsung Galaxy M30, because although it has a quite smaller display, it also counts with a better 1440 x 2560px resolution and a greater display pixel density. The Galaxy M30 counts with a very superior storage capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Galaxy S7 edge, because it has a slot for an external memory card that supports a maximum of 512 GB and 128 GB internal storage.

Galaxy S7 edge counts with a processor that's very similar to the processor in Galaxy M30, although the Galaxy S7 edge has lesser RAM and a lower number of cores (although faster). Samsung Galaxy M30 features a much better battery life than Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, because it has a 39 percent more battery size.

The Galaxy S7 edge captures a bit better photographs and videos than Galaxy M30, because although it has a worse resolution back camera, it also counts with a much better (4K) video definition, a bigger back camera sensor which provides a higher photo and video quality and a bigger aperture for better photos in low-light environments.
