Samsung Galaxy M30 is a little bit better than the Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite, getting a global score of 82.4 against 77.7. Although it's the best in this review, the Samsung Galaxy M30 construction is a bit heavier and just a little bit thicker than the Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite. Both devices in this review have Android OS (Operating System), but the Samsung Galaxy M30 has a newer 9.0 Pie version while Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite has Android 8.1 Oreo.
Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite has a little faster processor than Samsung Galaxy M30. They have the same number of cores and a 6 GB RAM memory. Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite features a little sharper display than Galaxy M30, because although it has a bit smaller screen, and they both have the same 1080 x 2280 pixels resolution, the Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite also counts with a quite better pixel density.
Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite features a slightly better camera than Galaxy M30, because although it has a camera with lesser mega-pixels, and they both have a same size camera aperture, the Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite also counts with a larger camera sensor capturing better quality videos and photographs and a lot better (4K) video resolution.
The Samsung Galaxy M30 features a much better memory for games and applications than Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite, and although they both have equal internal memory capacity, the Samsung Galaxy M30 also has a slot for external memory cards that supports a maximum of 512 GB. Galaxy M30 counts with a very superior battery duration than Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite, because it has a 49 percent greater battery capacity.
