Comparison review
Galaxy M30 is slightly better than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, getting an 82.4 score against 79. Galaxy M30 is an older cellphone than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, but Samsung was able to build it a bit thinner and lighter. Both of these devices use Android OS (operating system), but the Galaxy M30 has 9.0 Pie version while Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S has Android 11 version, so it offers a couple nice extra features.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S has a screen that's very similar to the Galaxy M30 one, because although the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S has a just a little worse screen density, it also counts with a bit larger display and a quite better resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. Samsung Galaxy M30 counts with a much better memory capacity for applications and games than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, and although they both have an external SD slot that admits up to 512 GB, the Samsung Galaxy M30 also has 128 GB internal storage capacity.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S has a little bit better processing power than Samsung Galaxy M30, although it has lesser RAM memory, they both have the same number of cores. Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S takes much clearer pictures and videos than Galaxy M30, because it has a lot larger sensor capturing much higher quality videos and pictures, a back facing camera with lot more mega-pixels, a larger aperture and a way higher 3840x2160 (4K) video definition.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S counts with a battery life that's just as good as the battery lifetime in Samsung Galaxy M30, although the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S also has 5020mAh of battery capacity.
