Comparison review
Samsung Galaxy M40 is just a bit better than Huawei Mate 30, getting an 85 score against 84. Samsung Galaxy M40's design is just a bit thinner and lighter than the Huawei Mate 30, even though both of them were only released with a couple of months difference. Both devices in this comparison review include the same Android 10 OS (operating system), so you shouldn't notice any differences in that aspect.
Huawei Mate 30 features a little faster processing unit than Samsung Galaxy M40, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Huawei Mate 30 also has a larger amount of RAM. Huawei Mate 30 counts with a display that's very similar to the Samsung Galaxy M40 one, because although the Huawei Mate 30 has a just a bit less pixels per inch in the screen, and they both have exactly the same resolution of 1080 x 2340px, it also counts with a little bit larger screen.
The Galaxy M40 counts with a very superior storage capacity for games and applications than Huawei Mate 30, and although they both have equal internal memory capacity, the Galaxy M40 also has a SD memory card expansion slot that admits up to 512 GB. The Huawei Mate 30 has longer battery performance than Galaxy M40, because it has 4200mAh of battery capacity.
Huawei Mate 30 takes better photographs and videos than Samsung Galaxy M40, because although it has a tinier aperture which is not so good for low-light photography, and they both have the same video resolution, the Huawei Mate 30 also counts with higher video frame rate, a higher 40 mega-pixels resolution back-facing camera and a way bigger sensor shooting lot higher quality photos and videos.
