Galaxy M40 is a little bit better than the Huawei Mate 9 Pro, with an 85 score against 78.7. Both phones we are comparing use Android OS (operating system), but the Galaxy M40 has the previous 10 version while Huawei Mate 9 Pro has Android 8.0 Oreo. Although Galaxy M40 is just a little thicker than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, it's a little lighter and a lot newer.
Huawei Mate 9 Pro features a bit more powerful processor than Galaxy M40. Both of them have the same RAM memory amount and the same number of cores. Huawei Mate 9 Pro features a bit more vivid screen than Galaxy M40, because although it has a little smaller display, it also counts with a better display density and a better resolution of 1440 x 2560px.
Galaxy M40 counts with a much greater memory to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, and although they both have the same 128 GB internal storage capacity, the Galaxy M40 also has an external SD slot that allows a maximum of 512 GB. Samsung Galaxy M40 features a better camera than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 video quality and the same video frame rate, the Samsung Galaxy M40 also has a lot larger diafragm aperture to take better low-light photos and video, a larger camera sensor taking higher quality videos and photos and a camera in the back with a way better 32 mega-pixels resolution.
