The Samsung Galaxy M40 has a general score of 85, which is just a bit better than Huawei P30 Pro's general score of 82.1. Although Samsung Galaxy M40 and Huawei P30 Pro were released only a couple months apart, Samsung Galaxy M40 is lighter and just a little thinner. The Huawei P30 Pro has a little faster processor than Galaxy M40. Both have 8 CPU cores and a 6 GB RAM.
Galaxy M40 and Huawei P30 Pro feature really similar displays, because although the Huawei P30 Pro has a bit worse pixels density, and they both have an equal resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels, it also counts with a little larger screen. The Galaxy M40 counts with a way bigger storage to store more apps and games than Huawei P30 Pro, and although they both have exactly the same 128 GB internal memory capacity, the Galaxy M40 also has a slot for SD memory cards that supports a maximum of 512 GB.
Huawei P30 Pro counts with better battery lifetime than Samsung Galaxy M40, because it has a 4200mAh battery size against 3500mAh. Huawei P30 Pro shoots a bit better photos and videos than Galaxy M40, and although they both have the same video frame rates and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality, the Huawei P30 Pro also has a much larger sensor taking way better quality photos, a larger camera aperture and a better resolution camera in the back.
