Comparison review

The Galaxy M40 has an overall score of 85, which is a little bit better than LG G8 ThinQ's overall score of 84.3. Although Galaxy M40 and LG G8 ThinQ were released only 2 months apart, the Galaxy M40 design is a little bit heavier but a bit thinner than LG G8 ThinQ. These phones work with Android OS (operating system), but the Galaxy M40 has an older 10 version and LG G8 ThinQ has Android 9.0 Pie.

The LG G8 ThinQ counts with a much better screen than Galaxy M40, because although it has a quite smaller screen, it also counts with a higher screen density and a better resolution of 1440 x 3120px. LG G8 ThinQ has just a little better processing power than Galaxy M40. Both have a Octa-Core CPU and the same RAM amount.

LG G8 ThinQ counts with a very superior storage capacity to install games and applications than Galaxy M40, and although they both have exactly the same internal storage, the LG G8 ThinQ also has a SD card slot that supports up to 1,95 TB. LG G8 ThinQ's battery performance is very similar to the battery performance in Galaxy M40.

Samsung Galaxy M40 takes clearer pictures and videos than LG G8 ThinQ, because although it has a tinier aperture which is not favorable for capturing pictures or videos in low light situations, worse video frame rates and a smaller sensor taking lower quality photos and videos, and they both have the same (4K) video resolution, the Samsung Galaxy M40 also counts with a back facing camera with a much better resolution.
