Comparison review

Galaxy M40 has a global score of 85, which is just a bit better than the LG V30S ThinQ's 82.5 general score. Although the Galaxy M40 is newer than the LG V30S ThinQ, it's a bit heavier and just a little bit thicker. Both phones in this comparison review work with Android operating system, but Galaxy M40 has older 10 version and LG V30S ThinQ has Android 8.0 Oreo version.

The LG V30S ThinQ features a little faster processing unit than Galaxy M40. Both of them have 6 GB of RAM memory and 8 processing cores. LG V30S ThinQ has a bit better looking screen than Samsung Galaxy M40, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with more pixels per inch of screen and a higher 1440 x 2880 pixels resolution.

The Samsung Galaxy M40 shoots just a bit better videos and photos than LG V30S ThinQ, because although it has a smaller diafragm aperture which is worse for shooting images or video in poorly lited situations, and they both have the same 30 fps video frame rates and the same 3840x2160 video quality, the Samsung Galaxy M40 also counts with a much more mega-pixels back-facing camera and a larger back-facing camera sensor providing a higher image quality.

The LG V30S ThinQ counts with much more memory for apps and games than Galaxy M40, and although they both have the same 128 GB internal memory capacity, the LG V30S ThinQ also has an external SD slot that supports a maximum of 1,95 TB. Galaxy M40 has a bit longer battery life than LG V30S ThinQ, because it has a 3500mAh battery size.
